Traveling.

As an adventist, thrill-seeker, world-traveler myself, I could speak from experience that traveling is not always fun and games. You will be frustrated at times because it does require a lot of planning and organizational skills.

If they know you’re a foreigner, the locals are always willing to help! Most are friendly, others...well not as much.  As my LS (Line Sister) and I were traveling last summer throughout South Africa, Italy, and Spain, there were multiple occasions where we came across racial and sexual remarks. I, myself, came across many different scary situations in taxi rides. (Always take precautions and be safe while traveling! Last we need is anyone getting into a dangerous situation abroad)! It’s always scary since you’re not sure what to expect. But trust me…The positive experiences from traveling definitely outweighs the negatives.

Explore not only the tourist areas but get yourself immersed into the culture! Getting to experience first hand how other’s live, what their everyday life consists of, and what is custom in their culture, is the most rewarding part about traveling. Oh, I can’t forget to add, FOOD! There are SOO many delicious food out there. Yeah, you could get it in America, or anywhere but it’s not the same and you’re limited to the options! Try the local foods, I promise you, you won’t regret it!

Why tie yourself down in one place when there’s so much out there to see and so many people to meet. Making new friends and unforgettable memories. You can’t top that. <3 AND last but not least… always remembering what I am and will always be a part of no matter where I am in the world…. IES <3
